Who handles your information
Customer enquiries are accessed by Petr Blazek. Our website is hosted by Squarespace, and our email service is provided by Google. These providers process personal information as part of delivering their services.
How we use your information
We use your information to respond to enquiries, discuss potential work and prepare quotations where requested.
We do not use your enquiry details for marketing.
Information we collect
When you complete our contact form, we collect your first name, email address and the information you include in your message. If you contact us by email or telephone, we also receive any details you choose to provide, such as your telephone number, property address and information about potential work.
We need enough information to understand your enquiry and contact you in response.
Additional paragraph for “Our legal basis”
We rely on our legitimate interest in operating and maintaining a functioning, secure website when processing technical information necessary for that purpose. We rely on your consent for optional analytics cookies. You can withdraw that consent at any time through Cookie Preferences.
Our legal basis
When you ask us to provide a quotation or take steps towards arranging work, we use your information as necessary to take those steps before entering into a contract with you.
For other general enquiries, we rely on our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us about our services.
We retain accounting and tax records to comply with our legal obligations.
Information processed outside the UK
We use Squarespace to host our website and Google to provide our email service. These providers may process personal information outside the UK, including in the United States.
Their published terms describe the protections used for international transfers. These include the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework for eligible transfers to certified US organisations, and approved contractual safeguards where applicable.
You can read more in Squarespace’s Data Processing Addendum and Google’s information about international data transfers. You can also contact us at petr@czech-mate.co.uk for further information about the protections relevant to your personal information.
How long we keep your information
We keep enquiry correspondence while it is needed to answer your questions or discuss potential work. If an enquiry does not lead to work, we delete it when there is no continuing need to retain it.
For completed jobs, we keep customer records for approximately ten years, including invoices and any related email correspondence. Invoices are retained for accounting and tax purposes.
We do not use these records for marketing.
